Alexa Bennett is a PhD candidate in the Department of Geography and Environmental Management at the University of À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ. She is interested in research on global environmental health with a focus on water and sanitation in low-resource contexts.
ÌýAlexa holds a Master of Science in Global Health from McMaster University and Bachelor of Education from McGill University. She has also received a Water Without Borders Graduate Diploma from the United Nations University - INWEH and aÌýcertificate in Humanitarian Water Engineering from York University.
Alexa has a diverse professional background, including her previous role as Program Coordinator for the WASHCanada (NSERC CREATE) training program in water and sanitation for low-resource contexts at the University of Victoria. She has also held research positions at Mount Sinai Hospital (Canada), Dedan Kimathi University (Kenya), and the Arctic University of Norway (remotely).
