Celebrating Cynthia’s Publication on Older Adults’ Wellbeing in Uganda
We are pleased to congratulate Cynthia on her recent publication in Wellbeing, Space & Society, titled “Intersecting vulnerabilities: Health and wellbeing of older adults in Uganda during a global health crisis.”
Cynthia Itbo Musah explores how multiple vulnerabilities—including age, socio-economic challenges, and limited healthcare access—interact to impact the health and wellbeing of older adults in Uganda, especially during times of global health emergencies. Her work highlights the complexities faced by this often-overlooked population and emphasizes the need for targeted policies and programs that consider these overlapping risks.
This publication is a valuable contribution to understanding and improving the lives of older adults in low-resource settings, and it underscores the importance of inclusive, equitable health strategies during crises.
We celebrate Cynthia’s achievement and look forward to her continued impact in global health research!
