  classrooms. While\ntabling the Bill was a response to community advocacy 
 demanding that\nschools become anti-racist spaces - spaces that encourage 
 and support\nracial equity qua praxis - what ensued raised questions as to
  the\nrole\, purpose\, and vision not only for education in Ontario but al
 so\nfor the type of advocacy expected from public officials. This is that\

  Manifesto to the movie _Mean Girls_ and the popularity\nof the mean girl 
 trope\, the right to be mean is the new frontier for\nwhite feminist disco
 ntent. My work explores how feminism points to\ngender as if it is resista
 nce in and of itself. Feminist discourses\nhave positioned the white heter
 osexual mean girl/woman as both the\nprimary problem to patriarchy and the
  antidote without whom patriarchy\ncannot be remade. I argue that the whit
 e mean girl feminist is the\nidealistic figure of complaint and the white 
 hetero-patriarchal mark\nof bourgeois feminist maturity. In this presentat
 ion\, I will share a\nbrief overview of this book project.\n
