Gamification is using game design in systems that primarily support non-game tasks to make them more fun, engaging, and motivating.
Gamification 2013, hosted by the University of À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ Stratford Campus, was the premier event to share ideas, collaborate with thought leaders (academics and industry experts) and explore the future of gamification.
The conference showcased ongoing research in gamification and provided a venue for international and interdisciplinary attendees to discuss the research and the growing gamification industry. The conference program highlighted Canada’s existing and emerging leadership in this sector, and enabled the collaboration and planning that will ensure the industry’s continued success. The program streamsÌýfeatured a blend of academic research and experimental applications with industry and non-profit examples, procedures, best practices, goals and results.
