Alexander is a PhD candidate in the Cognitive Psychology program at the University of À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ, under the supervision of Dr. Jonathan Fugelsang and Dr. Derek Koehler. He is a part of the Research Stream in the Gambling Research Lab.

As part of the Gambling Research Lab, Alexander investigates cognitive biases as they relate to scratch card gambling. Specifically, he is interested in how pieces of information (e.g., unclaimed prize information), presented to scratch card players, may bias their gambling related decisions, thus leading them to engage in irrational and potentially problematic gambling behaviours.
