Beth is a PhD student in the Department of Environment and Resource Studies at the University of À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ. Her research explores the links between gender relations and economic inequalities in small-scale agriculture in the Global South. She has field expertise in Uganda with farming cooperatives and small-scale fisheries.
Prior to joining the Faculty of Environment in À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ, Beth worked at the and the Consultative Group for International Agricultural Research ( in Malaysia. Beth received her Master’s degree in Global Development Studies from in 2010 and holds an undergraduate degree in Economics from the University of Winnipeg. Her research interests and passion for good food result from a childhood spent on a small-scale farm in rural Manitoba.
