The latest animated film by Fine Arts Alum Chris Williams (BA '90) has been nominated for an Academy award in the Best Animated Feature category. The Netflix feature “” is the story of legendary sea monster hunter whose life is turned upside down when a young girl stows away on his ship and befriends the most dangerous beast of them all.

Rob Nicholls (MFA 2012) has his first first solo show, Spirit Trails, at the . The exhibition runs from Saturday, January 12 until Saturday, February 9, 2019, with the opening reception on January 12 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.

Musagetes and rare Charitable Research Reserve are pleased to announce Meg Harder as the 2016 Eastern Comma Artist in Residence. Harder was born in St. Catharines, Ontario and completed her BA in Fine Art and Psychology at the University of ݮƵ in April 2013, a process that included 6 months at the Bezalel Academy of Art in Jerusalem.

Rick Nixon, Fine Arts alumni (MFA 2006) and department Studio Technician, has been chosen as the City of ݮƵ’s first Artist in Residence.  The 2015 Artist in Residence Program will be hosted at Albert McCormick Community Centre, 500 Parkside Drive.  Rick will be leading a series of free, hands-on workshops at the Community Centre from the end of June to September.
