Regional Councillor Chantal Huinink announces the winners of the UW Fine Arts Partnership in March 21, 2024. The selected artists are: (L to R) Echo Vettoretto, Ro Miles, Deborah Odia, Jee-In Lee, and Ariel Rossiter.

Since 2008 the Fine Arts Department has partnered with the Region of À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ to display a few, select works of art from the 4th year graduating exhibition to display in Regional buildings for the following year. The program took a short hiatus during the pandemic, and restarted this year with work now hanging in the Region of À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ Library’s Ayr branch until April 2025.

The art was selected earlier this year by a jury of Public Art Advisory Committee. Funding artists’ work is an important part of the program – each artist is receiving $450 for the loan of their work. The program also supports these artists with professional development and an opportunity to enhance their career.

Congratulations to artists selected for 2024 - Jee-In Lee, Ro Miles,  Deborah Odia, Ariel Rossiter, and Echo Vettoretto.
