There is no set path to finding the environmental job of your dreams; it may not even exist – yet! In this Alumni Office Hour, ERS grad Nick Gavin will share how he created his own green job as an Outreach Coordinator at GoodWork Environmental Jobs, where he helps employers find great talent for inspiring projects across the country.
Nick will share insights into jobs in the environmental field, employment programs for recent graduates and intersections of various other fields with green jobs. You’ll learn about applying to jobs online, important skills to stand out, creating opportunities where none currently exist and how to carve out your own ideal career paths.

Nick GavinÌýgraduated from ERS in the summer of 2020 andÌýnow works at GoodWork.ca as anÌýoutreach coordinator. He ended up at GoodWork after reaching out to the team and "creating hisÌýown job".
Each day, Nick connectsÌýwith employers in the environmental field who are hiring for inspiring projects across the country. HeÌýalso works behind the scenes at GoodWork, helping employers format job postings and target candidates accordingly.
