Inclusivity Panel

On August 3, 2021, the Environment Student Society held a virtual panel over Microsoft Teams for Enivironment students on fostering inclusive spaces. The panel was moderated by Jenna Phillips (she/her), Spring 2021 President, and the presenters included: 

  •  Celine Isimbi (she/her), UW RAISE
  • Sarah Mather (she/they), The Glow Centre
  • Dr. Kelsey Leonard (she/her), Assistant Professor / Indigenous water justice researcher
  • Casey Gautreau (she/her), AccessAbility Services
  • Jazz Fitzgerald (they/she), Student Success Office

The panelists answered a set of questions centred around what it means to be inclusive and equitable, how that is displayed at the University of À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ, and how students can work to unlearn prejudices and biases in their own lives to create inclusive communities on- and off-campus.
