Dr. Andrea M. Collins is an Associate Professor in the School of Environment, Resources and Sustainability (SERS) and the Balsillie School of International Affairs. Dr. Collins researches gender, international relations, and global environmental politics, with a focus on global land, agriculture, and food politics. Her book  (McGill-Queen’s University Press, 2024) shows how gender norms, biases, and expectations shape land politics at different levels of governance.

She is currently researching transnational counter-movements against LGBTQ+ and women’s rights in food, land, and agriculture within international institutions and decision-making forums. She is interested in supervising students with these shared interests and expertise.
