Research students from the Faculty of Systems Design Engineering will be challenged to articulate the impact and breadth of their research in a 3 minute presentation, using 1 static PowerPoint slide during the Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition. Judged on engagement, communication and comprehension, the winners will have a chance to compete in the UW Final on March 20, 2019. All staff and students are welcome to attend (seating is limited so arrive a few minutes early!)

Join us for Engineering's Three Minute Thesis (3MT) Competition heats! Over 130 graduate students are competing in seven department based heats for a spot in the University wide finals on March 31.

Competitors have 1 static slide and 3 minutes to explain the breadth and significance of their research to a non-specialist audience.

Join us for Engineering's Three Minute Thesis (3MT) Competition heats! Fifty of Engineering's research-based masters and doctoral students are participating in this year's university-wide competition. There will be three Engineering heats with 5 students moving on to the University of ��ݮ��Ƶ finals on March 27th.

Competitors have 1 static slide and 3 minutes to explain the breadth and significance of their research to a non-specialist audience.
