Theresa Cooke

Biography:
Theresa Cooke leads Strategy and Business Development for Siemens in Canada, with a special focus on growing Siemens’ charging infrastructure business.

Her Siemens career started in management consulting in the US and Germany, led her to offshore wind in Denmark, and then back to Canada for strategy roles across Siemens’ energy businesses.

She holds a degree in Systems Design Engineering from the University of ��ݮ��Ƶ and a doctorate in neuroscience from the Max Planck Institute in Tuebingen, Germany.

Theresa sits on the boards of CUTRIC and Electric Mobility Canada.

She is also responsible for Siemens Canada’s Engineering & Technology Academy (SCETA) and its German-inspired Dual Education program for post-secondary students. Theresa is married with three young children and is a certified professional coach, yoga teacher, and musician with 4 original tracks on Soundcloud.

Prashanth Madhi

Biography
Prashanth Madhi is a computer engineering Alumni, Sr. Technology Delivery Lead at TD Bank and a part-time Entrepreneurial Coach at University of ��ݮ��Ƶ. Prashanth is a digital consultant, keynote speaker and a life coach – focused on helping people pursuing their passions. He has over 8 years of diverse experience in the financial services (banking and insurance), start-up’s and software industries.

Growing up in countries such as India, Australia, and Canada has provided him with a global perspective. This, along with his interests in education, mentorship and networking, has led him to stay connected with professionals across the globe. Prashanth thrives on building meaningful connections, and has variety of interests including podcasts, photography, dance, music, and influencer.

Fast Feedback Day

Deadline to apply to pitch is: June 30, 2016. Registration is now closed.

Fast Feedback Day – An open forum where teams present their ideas for fast feedback from a panel of experts. At this stage, teams will learn whether they are ready to take their idea to the next stage of mentoring and/or to apply to incubators.

Expert panel includes: Wayne Chang, Carolyn MacGregor, Lyon Wong, and Steve Woods

Following Fast Feedback Day

Selected teams connect and work with faculty/investor mentors
Teams can chose to apply to incubators or E co-op to continue to work on their idea
Ideas can also be used by teams for Capstone Design projects with support of faculty advisor
Teams may be brought to Silicon Valley for visits to further develop their ideas and make connections at discretion of mentors
