From 2017-2020, she was Dean of the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences at the University of Guelph.</p> <p>Prior to her time in Guelph, Wells was a professor in the Department of Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering at the University of ݮƵ for 10 years. She received awards for graduate supervision from both the Faculty and the University in 2017.</p> <p>An accomplished materials engineer, Wells also served as the Associate Dean of Outreach for ݮƵ Engineering between 2008 and 2017, and chaired its Women in Engineering committee for many years. From 2017-2020, she was Dean of the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences at the University of Guelph.</p> <p>Prior to her time in Guelph, Wells was a professor in the Department of Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering at the University of ݮƵ for 10 years. She received awards for graduate supervision from both the Faculty and the University in 2017.</p> <p>An accomplished materials engineer, Wells also served as the Associate Dean of Outreach for ݮƵ Engineering between 2008 and 2017, and chaired its Women in Engineering committee for many years. Customers were typically in thermal power generation, ferrous and non-ferrous metallurgical operations, pulp and paper, cement and lime production. Clients were spread across Canada plus several globally, primarily in the Andes section of South America.</p> <p><span><span><span>Ron has presented technical papers at several major conferences primarily in the Power Generation and non-ferrous metallurgical sectors. He has worked in a wide range of corporate environments from large multinationals to public, medium- size companies and start-ups. He has lived in Canada, USA, Europe, the Middle East and India.  </p> <p>He has spent the last 24 years working as a management consultant engaged in executive/senior management positions and fixed term projects for a wide range mix of dozens of clients in North America and further abroad.
