A cross-appointed professor of chemical engineering at the University of À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ has been named a fellow of the Royal Society, the world’s oldest independent scientific academy.
Linda Nazar was recognized for her research on electrochemical energy storage with topics that span Li-ion batteries and ‘beyond Li-ion,’ and solid state ionics.
Nazar, a chemistry professor, Canada Research Chair in Solid State Energy Materials, and member of the À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ Institute for Nanotechnology, was named to the society along with À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ physics professor and Nobel Prize winner Donna Strickland.
