Many Ecohydrology group members will be presenting posters and lightning talks and/or participating as attendees at the Global Water Futures (GWF) 2021 Open Science Meeting, which is happening online from May 17-19.

This meeting will bring together the GWF community (researchers, affiliates, partners, collaborators, and stakeholders) in a virtual setting to share our latest scientific achievements and success stories, provide updates on end user solutions, and support the actions needed to secure Canada’s water future.

Our 12^th annual World Wetlands Day Research Symposium will be held Friday, February 2, 2024 in person at the University of ��ݮ��Ƶ.

The event will feature a poster session will from 4-6 pm in the EIT Foyer, followed by a distinguished lecture by Dr. Andrea Kirkwood, entitled:

"The Value of Urban Wetlands"

from 6-7 pm in EIT 1015. The distinguished lecture will also be livestreamed for those unable to attend in person.

The event is free. Visitor parking is available for $5 in Lot Q. Or better yet, come by public transport: the University of ��ݮ��Ƶ LRT stop is conveniently located close by the venue (about 5 minutes walking).

GWF2022 brings together the GWF community (researchers, affiliates, partners, collaborators, and stakeholders), and wider water research community across Canada and beyond. We will share our latest scientific achievements and success stories from across our wide range of projects and program areas, and connect with stakeholders and communities alike to provide updates on end user solutions and support the actions needed to secure Canada’s water future.

This year's Canadian Geophysical Union Eastern Section Student Conference will be held at the University of ��ݮ��Ƶ on Saturday, April 4. Students and early career researchers are encouraged to present their research or proposed ideas at this event. Registration and call for poster and oral presentations are now open. The deadline for abstract submission is March 6 at 11:59pm.

The 11^th annual Canadian Science Policy Conference (CSPC) will be held in Ottawa, Ontario.

This year, the Water Institute will be sponsoring a panel session titled "Personhood rights for water bodies: A fad or path to Sustainable Development Goals?", which will be held on Wednesday, November 13^th, 2019 from 4:15pm - 5:30pm.
