Shayna Meinzinger has completed her MSc fieldwork after an intense year of sampling 7 wetlands on different farms across southern Ontario. Each pond took a full day and were visited 6 times over the year. Last summer she spent every other week for three months in the field with her team, then another two weeks in the fall, a rare winter-time sampling during the polar vortex, and finished up with a spring sampling that was still on the chilly side. Her work has paid off with some very exciting results about greenhouse gas emission variability across these restored agricultural ponds. Stay tuned for more results later this year!​
