 are\npleased to announce the second Data Science Discovery Days\ncompetiti
 on!\n\nThis event will feature exclusive opportunities to engage with one 
 of\nCanada’s top businesses\, Scotiabank. Immerse yourself in valuable\n
 experiences\, including networking sessions with Scotiabank experts\, an\n
 insightful data session led by industry professionals\, and a thrilling\nd
 ata hackathon utilizing real-world data. Don't miss out on this\nunique ch
 ance to connect\, learn\, and innovate with leaders of the\nfinancial indu
 stry!\n\nEVENT OVERVIEW\n\nTHE DATA TOPIC FOR THIS YEAR'S COMPETITION WILL
  BE CENTERED AROUND\n'USING AI TO DERIVE BUSINESS INSIGHTS FROM CUSTOMER F
 EEDBACK'. \n\nThe competition will require high-pressure data analysis\,
  critical\nthinking\, and presentation design\, each team is required to s
 ubmit a\npresentation slide deck\, along with a brief write-up explaining 
 their\nfindings. The teams with the strongest submissions will be invited 
 to\npresent their findings in front of a panel of judges. TO BE ELIGIBLE\
 nFOR PRIZES\, ALL TEAMS MUST BE AVAILABLE TO PRESENT ON SUNDAY\, FEBRUARY\
 n4\, 2024.\n\nThis competition will include $8000 IN PRIZES for particip
 ating\nteams. The competition allows opportunities to win monetary values 
 for\n1st place\, 2nd place\, and 3rd place.\n\nWHO MAY PARTICIPATE?\n\nThe
  competition is open to all undergraduate and graduate students at\nthe Un
 iversity of À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ. Students are encouraged to form teams of\n3-4 indivi
 duals with diverse backgrounds and skills from different\ndisciplines.\n\n
 Each individual in a team must submit a separate registration and\ninclude
  the team name on the registration form. If you are registering\nas an ind
 ividual\, please indicate this on the form and we will place\nyou on a tea
 m closer to the event date.\n
