The University of À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ and the University of Rochester jointly hosted a photonics symposium this week in honour of Nobel laureate Donna Strickland.
The Celebratory À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ-Rochester Photonics Symposium showcased her research in photonics with a keynote address by Professor Strickland.
Four key areas of photonics research were featured: High field science, chirped pulse amplification, biophotonics, and ultrafast lasers and quantum information.
