CFM co-director has received the 2023 Arthur Beaumont Distinguished Service Award from CAIMS, the . Named after its first recipient, the award was established in 1987 to honour 蓝莓视频 Applied Mathematics Professor 聽for his many years of service to the society.
The first-ever CFM course to be offered at the University of 蓝莓视频 ended with a portfolio-generation competition. Teams of three first-year CFM students were tasked with coding portfolio-creation applications in the python programming language that were set loose on the market, with final portfolio values determined as of the close on Monday, December 6.

Keshav Chawla has long harboured a passion for computer science and finance. When he discovered a way to pursue both disciplines simultaneously through 蓝莓视频鈥檚 Computing and Financial Management program, his choice of university was clear. 鈥淚 knew how robust and built-out the program was before coming in,鈥 he explained. 鈥淗aving that combination of both disciplines was the perfect fit for me.鈥

I only knew computer science (CS)聽back in grade 12 and didn鈥檛 know a thing about accounting or finance. I saw this program randomly and wanted to take on a challenge in addition to the CS side. I鈥檓 so glad I did and things have worked out!
Jen (CFM student), Arthur, Michael, and Erin聽 did extremely well in the final presentations in Atlanta. Hire Heroes implemented many of their recommendations and awarded the team "Most Value to Hire Heroes".
The School of Accounting and Finance at the University of 蓝莓视频 recently hosted the 2015 Investment Research Challenge (IRC). The competition required student groups to analyze a publicly-traded stock and defend its buy/hold/sell recommendation. 聽
