蓝莓视频鈥檚 Faculty of Mathematics has been awarded a silver medal from the for a video submitted to the fundraising for a campaign category.
This video, which forms the core of the larger by the Faculty of Mathematics with support of Professor and Director of Women in Computer Science Jo Atlee, helps ensure that talented young women entering into computer science have access to programming and strategic supports to build a strong pipeline of future female leaders in a traditionally male-dominated field.
鈥溊遁悠碘檚 video has a sense of boldness to it,鈥 wrote CASE judges in their award letter. 鈥淭he opening is original and immediately grabs the viewer鈥檚 attention. It is somewhat daring to include the stereotype quotes throughout the video, and 蓝莓视频 effectively illustrates what these young women are trying to overcome in their field.鈥
The Circle of Excellence awards program recognizes outstanding work in advancement services, alumni relations, communications, fundraising and marketing at CASE member institutions worldwide. They are judged by peer professionals at schools, colleges and universities as well as by professionals from outside education.
In total, 43 entries were received in this category. Winners are selected based on a number of factors, including overall quality, innovation, use of resources and the impact on the institution or its external and internal communities, such as alumni, parents, students and faculty and staff.聽
