ACM-style programming contest

The next À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ-local ACM-style programming contest will be held onÌýSaturday, September 30, 2017 in MC 3003.

All members of the UW community areÌýinvited to try their programming skill in Racket, C, C++, Java, Pascal,ÌýPythonÌýor Scala!

The results of this local contest will be used to select the UW teamsÌýfor the international ACM competition. We will send three or more teamsÌýof three students each to the East Central North America Regional inÌýWindsor on October 27–28, 2017.

PhD Seminar • Computer Graphics: Stereoscopic 3D Line Drawing and Shading

In this talk, we present a method for producing stylized stereoscopic 3D (S3D) line drawings or sketches from S3D photos.

Our method renders contours and silhouettes found in the disparity map and addresses some of the issues that arise when working with 8-bit disparity. Finally, we add shading to our stylized S3D line drawings to improve the perception of depth and surface shape.
