Fatemeh Jahanmiri is currently completing her PhD in urban planning at the University of À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ under the supervision of Dr. Dawn Parker. Given her background in architecture and her interest in nature-inspired design, she followed her research in the field of complexity exploring the origin of fractal patterns in cities.

Supported by WICI, she achieved TALISMAN school Java programming certificate from the University of Leeds in U.K. and since then she’s been an active member of WICI’s agent-based modelling working group. She’s currently working on developing an agent-based model of a virtual city in which individual people interact with each other until they create an urban landscape with fractal patterns.
