 tudied the Veronese construction\nfor formal  power series which was moti
 vated by the corresponding\nconstruction for  graded algebras. As a corol
 lary of their algebraic\ncomputations\, they  discovered an identity for 
 the coefficients of\nthe Eulerian polynomials.  The authors asked for a c
 ombinatorial\nproof of this identity given that  all of its ingredients a
 re\nenumerative in nature. In this talk I will present one such\ncombinato
 rial proof. I will gladly do a pre-seminar with the\nmotivation and prelim
 inaries for the talk!\n
