This relationship forms a bridge between alg ebraic\ncombinatorics and the study of special functions\, yielding signif icant\nbenefits for both fields. Recent research has introduced multivaria te\ngeneralizations of P- and Q-polynomial association schemes and\nprovid ed numerous examples. This development aims notably to deepen\nour underst anding of multivariate analogues of Askey-Wilson\npolynomials. In this tal k\, we will review this generalization\, its\nconnection to m-distance-reg ular graphs\, and an algebraic\ncombinatorial structure known as a \"unifo rm poset\,\" from which many\nexamples of bivariate schemes appear to orig inate.\n DTSTAMP:20250908T041405Z END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR
