The ALARM Dialogues

To wrap up the ALARM exhibition, downtown Kitchener's THEMUSEUM hosted an evening dialogue organized in partnership with 50 by 2030 ݮƵ Region - The ALARM Dialogues: A Climate Conversation was an event to continue to "ring the alarm" on our climate emergency. 

UݮƵ students discussed the topic of toxic algal blooms in a recent webinar presented by the Interdisciplinary Centre on Climate Change (IC3) and Faculty of Health. The webinar “Toxic Algal Blooms – Implications of Climate Change on Frequency and Prevention in Water Systems” was held on January 27, 2021.

The Interdisciplinary Centre on Climate Change (IC3) is pleased to be partnering with THEMUSEUM and  to host The ALARM Dialogues: A Climate Conversationon January 27 at 7:00 pm. Five of IC3's members will be participating in the event and sharing their reflections on the need for ambitious GHG emission reduction targets, and the impact a bold regional climate action plan could have on creating a more just and sustainable society.

This term IC3 partnered with UݮƵ’s  to launch the brand-new ;additional funding opportunity offered through the . Students were encouraged to think outside the box and develop innovative projects focused on climate solutions. Over 75 student teams representing all six university faculties competed and four student teams advanced to the Concept $5K Finals.

UݮƵ students explored the topic of divestment in a recent webinar presented by the Interdisciplinary Centre on Climate Change (IC3) and Faculty of Applied Health Sciences (AHS). The webinar “Unpacking Divestment: What it means for UݮƵ” was held on October 20th, 2020.
