Climate Speed Hack

Come race against the clock to find innovative solutions to climate challenges!

Open to all UW students, regardless of technical background. NO TECHNICAL BACKGROUND REQUIRED!

Rapid version of a hackathon, participants will be teamed up at the event and work together to ideate, research and brainstorm solutions to problems in climate change, climate adaptation, reducing GHGs, and generating climate hope, all in 3-hours.

Climate and Disaster Risk Boot Camp

Interested in learning about climate and disaster risk, and how to apply these topics to your research and teaching?

Join Dr. Rodrigo Costa from Systems Design Engineering at the University of À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ and Dr. Jose Di Bella from À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµâ€™s Climate Institute for a Climate and Disaster Risk Boot Camp.

In this half-day workshop, participants will be introduced to the basics of disaster and climate risk, climate risk assessment and catastrophe modeling, explore examples of research partnerships to develop new tools, solutions and capacity building, and share knowledge and network with colleagues.
