Vena creates tools to change the way that physicians perform minimally invasive neurosurgery. Their flagship product is the world’s smallest camera, capable of going inside veins and arteries to help physicians treat stroke. The camera provides doctors with the ability to look from inside of the body in real time and offers greater image quality allowing for improved treatment of patients and ultimately better outcomes. Without this technology, doctors are guided by external X-Ray.

Vena Medical, earned Health Canada approval earlier this year for hardware it calls the Vena Balloon Distal Access Catheter (BDAC).

Now the device has been used by surgeons at hospitals in London and Ottawa to remove blood clots and restore blood flow as quickly as possible for five patients.

Thu, 20 Oct 2022 16:00:47 +0000 Engineering Advancement Coop 863 at /chemical-engineering Undergraduate Admissions Webinar Series: Applying to À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ Engineering (Grade 11 & 12 American students) /chemical-engineering/events/undergraduate-admissions-webinar-series-applying-waterloo-1 Undergraduate Admissions Webinar Series: Applying to À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ Engineering (Grade 11 & 12 American students) Engineering Ad… Thu, 10/13/2022 -
