Additionally, he assists instructors in their teaching and learning initiatives, and serves as a guide for instructors and graduate students seeking to navigate and utilize the extensive resources offered by CTE.</span></span></p> <p><span><span>Prior to joining CTE, Matthew worked as an Instructional Support Coordinator in the Department of Statistics and Actuarial Science (SAS) where he supported instructors with their course delivery including the integration of technology, managed TAs, advised undergraduates, and taught introductory statistics. Prior to joining UݮƵ he was an instructor and course developer at Brock University and part-time professor at Niagara College. Matthew has a BSc in Mathematics and Statistics, a BEd, and an MSc in Mathematical Physics from Brock University. She also serves as a guide for instructors to access other CTE resources.</span></span></span></p> <p><span><span><span>Rebecca is an Ontario Certified Teacher (OCT) and earned her PhD in History at the University of ݮƵ. Her dissertation entitled “In Protection of No Woman: Consent, Illegitimacy, and Gender-Based Violence in Early Modern Somerset, 1600-1699,” focused on the institutionalization of gender-based violence in early modern (seventeenth century) Somerset (England). Rebecca has taught a course on women and gender in early modern Europe, as well as co-taught a course on violence against women in early modern Europe. </span></span></span></p> <p><span><span><span>Prior to returning to the University of ݮƵ, Rebecca completed the Master of Teaching Program at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) with a specialization in junior/intermediate history education. Relationship and kindness are core values that inform Natalie’s approach to work. She welcomes all questions related to teaching and learning and has particular interest in inclusive engagement, accessibility, wellbeing, assessment, reflection, and Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI).</p> <p>Prior to joining CTE, Natalie worked as an Instructional Support Coordinator at the Centre for Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) and as an Accreditation Assistant for the Faculty of Engineering. Natalie holds a MA in Education degree from McGill University and BA and BEd degrees from Brock University. She has undergraduate teaching experience from McGill University and Conestoga College. Richard is also an Instructional Skills Workshop (ISW) Facilitator, a Facilitator Development Workshop (FDW) Trainer, and the ISW Network’s Local Representative at UW. He leads the planning, facilitation, and evaluation of CTE’s ISW and FDW programs.</p> <p></p> <p>Prior to joining the CTE as a Faculty Liaison, Richard has previously worked at the University of ݮƵ as a TA Workshop Facilitator at the CTE, Peer Success Coach at the Student Success Office, and GRADventure Specialist with Graduate Studies and Postdoctoral Affairs. Richard has a MEng and BEng in Geosciences and Geological Engineering, in addition to a BA in English. In his spare time, Richard enjoys doing yoga and photography. Jason also works closely with the Science Teaching Fellows to facilitate the uptake of teaching and learning initiatives.
