One of the main goa ls of microrobots is to\nmake medical interventions more targeted and less invasive. Nano-and\nmicrorobots show great potential for active and remot e-controlled\nmotion inside the human body. Possible future applications i nclude\nactive\, targeted delivery of therapeutics to diseased sites (e.g. \ntumours)\, cell delivery for regenerative therapy and non-invasive\nsurg ery. The removal of obstructions inside the body such as blood\nclots\, re nal stones or other blockages in a minimal invasive manner is\nanother mai n subject of our research.
