The Centre for Bioengineering and Biotechnology (CBB) is proud to announce that registration for the forthcoming conference “��ݮ��Ƶ for Health, Technology and Society” is now open!

The event will take place on March 8 and 9, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. EST each day; registration is free and open to all. We are happy to offer online, and in-person options and we hope you can join us from wherever you may be in the world! Please visit the conference website to see the agenda and to register.

This free hybrid conference will take place over two afternoons and will explore the use of technology for safe and accessible health care by examining the status of virtual delivery of care, enabling emerging technologies, and ensuring ethical and safe interventions for the betterment of our society and improved public health outcomes. In collaboration with leading experts throughout Canada, the conference aims to inform and educate, while encouraging constructive dialogue.

The speakers are health researchers, clinicians and front-line workers, policymakers, technology officers from industry and visionaries that have implemented innovative models for supporting virtual care. The conference is free and targeted for a general audience that could include community members, researchers, students, policy makers, clinicians, health sector management, and innovators.

Rohan Shanbhag, VP of ML and AI Strategy, will be discussing how Achu Health has developed a personalized health and wellness platform driven by a proprietary machine learning algorithm on-device that uses passively collected biometric data from wearables to predict the onset of illness before symptoms appear. Achu Health aims to assess the scientific rigour of its technology to ensure that the evaluation can be backed by Health Science professionals in providing meaningful value to the end user.

About Achu Health

Achu Health, a health-tech AI startup founded in 2014 and based in Toronto, Canada, recognized the undeniable factors that play a role in the physical and mental health of individuals and consequently developed a mobile health platform aimed at making users aware of how specific trends in their passively collected biometric data can be indicative of illness onset. This aligns with their mission of promoting metricized health to invoke optimal living.
