Newly released data shows Velocity companies have an enterprise value of $40-billion

The University of À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµâ€™s Velocity program has helped over 500 startups reach a combined enterprise value of $40 billion. More than an incubator, Velocity provides mentorship, funding access, and connections to help student and researcher-led ventures succeed. In 2024, 395 student teams were actively building companies on campus. Notable startup PatientCompanion, founded by Christy Lee and Ethan Alvizo, completed a hospital pilot and is expanding across Canada. Velocity’s recent publication Momentum highlights the program’s impact, with 41 new startups, $62 million secured, and 83 pilot projects launched. Innovations span health tech, robotics, green energy, and AI. Standout ventures include Airfairness, Doro, Foqus Technologies, and Swish Solar. With over 1,400 students entering annually, Velocity is shaping Canada’s future economy by developing entrepreneurs, innovators, and next-generation leaders.
