For the past several months, students from the University of ��ݮ��Ƶ's Architecture program and Western Law have been collaborating in a unique, co-taught course that explores the relationship between law and architecture. Their challenge: to envision and design a new Law building for Western University.

On Monday, December 1, join us in The Loft for an inspiring showcase of their final projects. Enjoy refreshments, hear brief remarks, and take the opportunity to tour the exhibit. Engage with the students behind these innovative designs and learn how legal principles and architectural creativity come together to shape the future of learning spaces.

How can ��ݮ��Ƶ Architecture’s curriculum best support students to confront the social and ecological crises of climate change – as architects, community members, and advocates?

Join us at Riverside Gallery on Thursday, March 20th from 5:30-7:30pm for the Design Our Climate Curriculum event, a ��ݮ��Ƶ Architecture-specific event as part of a Climate Institute-led initiative to accelerate Climate Change Adaptation (CCA) knowledge and skills within professional degree programs in Canada.

Building on past feedback and ongoing work, share your thoughts on specific themes, ideas for learning material, and share ideas through smaller collaborative discussions in the form of a Collaborative Climate Curriculum Wall which will become part of the Projects Review exhibition.

Come take part in an evening of community, food, and discussion to shape our curriculum, school priorities, and futures as designers.

Join us Thursday, March 6th from 6:30-8:00PM EST for Cross Border Talks, a casual event co-organized together with Canada GSD students at Harvard GSD which brings together several panelists to talk about their experiences working in industry, academia, and running their own practices in both Canada and the US.

On Thursday, February 2, 2023 at 12:45pm in the Auditorium, Elder In Residence William Woodworth of the Bear Clan, Mohawk, Six Nations of the Grand River. will be speaking on the role and nature of a native Elder based on his experience with Chief Jacob Thomas, perhaps the most important Haudenosaunee Elder of the twentieth century.

His new role at the School of Architecture is to offer teaching and counselling to students and faculty from the native perspective.

This event will be followed by open questions. Everyone is encouraged to attend this singular event.
