 engineers and\nplanners\, among others\, however\, students and faculty in
  these two\ndisciplines often have limited opportunity to work and study\n
 collaboratively. At the University of À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ\, we are fortunate to\nhave
  a Planner- in-Residence and an Engineer-in-Residence who bring\nindustry 
 perspectives to curricular activities in the School of\nPlanning and in Ci
 vil and Environmental Engineering\, respectively.\nBoth experts believe in
  the advantages of collaboration and\ninterdisciplinary for the benefit of
  our cities and urban prosperity.\nThis session is a first step toward bri
 dging the two disciplines\nfurther\, highlight examples of the shortfalls 
 of working in\ndisciplinary silos and the benefits of synergy among planne
 rs and\nengineers.\n
