Recently, our community gathered through multiple events to explore the many ways that technology is changing, and how that might improve lives. 

On October 12, alumni entrepreneurs and business leaders gathered in Miami to learn about the future of the technology sector and how the University of À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ’s strategic vision could play a role.

Much has been said about the University of À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ’s bold culture. What makes this culture possible? There is one element we don’t speak about enough: support.

The University of À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ is not just an institute of higher education. We are a community, built on shared and diverse histories, places, interests and ambitions for the future. In September 2023, we mark several milestones and commitments that renew and strengthen our community.

On Tuesday, July 4, University of À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ President & Vice-Chancellor Vivek Goel emailed UÀ¶Ý®ÊÓƵ alumni asking them to reflect on the horrific hate-filled attack that occurred on June 28 in Hagey Hall. Dr. Goel shared his shared his appreciation for everyone who has come together to provide support to as our community begins the process of healing.

Strong relationships with alumni and industry partners enable us to achieve this bold ambition. In support of those relationships, I recently attended the in Toronto with University and business leaders, À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ graduates and entrepreneurs.

On Wednesday, June 28, an attack targeting our people on the basis of a hateful view of gender expression and identity occurred on our main campus in Hagey Hall during a second-year lecture for Philosophy 202 – Gender Studies.
